Powder Cowboy

Sunshine and sleds
The return to Powder Cowboy after a year off due to covid was a welcome reunion of friends from all over BC and Alberta. We descended on the Little Sand Cabin with sleds, beers, Heather's baking and a whole lot of stoke to get out touring with the best crew around.
Rob and Andrew ready to drop in
Ski conditions were average, but stoke was high. With more sleds than previous years, it was a quick shuttle to get all the gear up to the cabin before we got out for an afternoon tour. We did a few laps on Cabin Side before returning to the hut for a big meal and fire.
The best crew!
So stoked
Getting ready for an evening bonfire
Evening shenanigans
The next morning we woke to sunny skies and took full advantage, exploring the tree skiing around the hut. We found some fresh tracks and fun lines with amazing views of the area.
Sending it

To the top!
To the top!
David in his happy place
An overnight rain event and nasty crust caused us to pull the pin early and return to Fernie where we spent a day skiing surprisingly good powder in the rain at the ski hill. You never know what you are going to get!
Starry night at the hut
